Once again, Studio Ufotable has knocked it out of the park with the breathtaking animation they have. But this time around it's even better with a movie budget. Its so smooth and satisfying that it just draws you in like that. The breathing techniques were the highlight of the First Season, and its the same for here.
I enjoyed the Demon Slayer Anime, but this, raised the bar even higher, I highly highly highly suggest watching this when it comes out on streaming services. Demon Slayer is shaping up to be another gigantic manga and anime series even if it might not deserve it fully. But if your a big fan of Shonen Jump or the second season, OR even the manga I would suggest watching it. But its not perfect, I think too many people have hyped up Demon Slayer, which can be bad when the ending eventually gets animated.

The film starts off practically right after the anime series ended, but instead of focusing on Mafuyu and Ritsuka, it focuses on Akihiko, Ugetsu, and Haruki, much like how the manga is structured. What stuck out to me first thing was how great it was to see how Mafuyu has changed after experiencing that catharsis post-Fuyu no Hanashi/episode 9.
I feel like I can relate a lot more to the main characters of the film- not to put down Ritsuka or Mafuyu by any means, but they're high schoolers with high schooler issues, feelings and levels of maturity- and I'm a lot older than that.

Go watch the movie. The manga is the same with the movie, with some few additional scene that were cut from the film. if u read this b4 watching the movie, you are doing a disservice. Because the movie was the true superior adaptation. The visual and sounds of the movie will add layer and depth to the experience.
IThe art in the movie was impeccable, looking beyond anything seenn in most anime today. It's on par with Makoto Shinkai's other works, notably Kotonoha no Niwa/Garden of Words. The art in the manga is still very good, but the character designs for Taki and Mitsuha do look quite different, but I'm actually very open to this change. I always felt like something was off with their original character designs, but I brushed it off due to how good the movie was.
It's easy to fall in love with these characters. May it be from their personnalities, to their designs or even the way they act, I found myself overwhelmed with joy when i saw the two of them on top of the hill, before Mitsuha disappeared at the end of the katawaredoki. Again, the design for some characters is quite different, but that doesn't hinder the experience in any way (for me at least). Review: 9/10

The prequel sees the return of series favorite Gojou-sensei, with the sempai trio Maki, Panda, and Inumaki also getting ample screen time. It showcases their characters a bit more than the original series did, which was a very welcome usage of running time. Nanami and the Kyoto school team also make an appearance, and although they do not have an influence on the story.
As expected of Mappa, one of the few studios that can rival the likes of Ufotable and KyoAni in terms of animation quality, the animation here was top-notch. All of the fight scenes (half the reason I went to see it on opening day) were crisp and an absolute pleasure to look at. There were some awkward CGI-assisted shots and far-away shots that did not look good.
